CAFÉS OF BUENOS AIRES — the best coffee and the best cafés in the city
CUERVO /
Consistently perfect flat white, delicious avocado smash, and the beyond friendly staff make this my number one café in the city. Also, their pecan alfajor is basically crack.
SANTA CAFÉ /
These baristas truly care about what they're making, and they make it remarkably well. If you're based in Centro or San Telmo then this should be your coffee spot.
LATTENTE /
A small coffee house in the heart of Palermo. Relaxed atmophere, friendly baristas who clearly love their trade, killer coffee, delicious alfajores. Everything you need.
COFFEE TOWN /
Tucked away in the center of the beautiful San Telmo market, these guys make truly great coffee. Grab a take away cortado and explore the surrounding market stalls at your leisure.
LA NOIRE /
Fantastic little place hidden away in the quiet and unassuming Villa Crespo. Order your coffee in what feels like somebody’s kitchen, sit and relax in what feels like somebody’s vintage retro lounge room. Latté was spot on as well. Perfect for a quiet afternoon.
NEGRO CUEVA DE CAFÉ /
Right in the center, this place seems to be where the suits with a love for caffeine line up for their morning coffee, and they're right to do so. Inside you'll find a modern yet relaxed place, friendly staff, and delicious lattés.
REGISTRADO /
This café sits calmly in the quiet leafy streets of Palermo Hollywood. Take a seat outside and enjoy their consistently delicious coffee. They also do a killer breakfast tostado with some freshly squeezed orange juice.
PICK & GO /
There's only sitting space for one in this hole in the wall, and when you do sit, the friendly barista will share with you his love for coffee. This is a great stop whilst exploring San Telmo's Sunday market.
LAB /
There's a long bench here where you can sit and watch the baristas ply their trade. Their lattés are perfect, and apparently they do good cold brews for those hot Buenos Aires summer days.
FÉLIX FELICIS & CO /
This small stylish café with friendly staff doesn't disappoint with its coffee, nor with its alfajores. This is the perfect place for working or reading on a quiet rainy afternoon.
NININA /
A bustling place with a large window looking onto the back room bakery. Their coffee is generally good, but their cakes, however, are the true reason to come.
VIVE /
This down to earth café feels far more like a piece of home compared with the industrial chic cafes dotted around the city. The coffee is great and the staff are friendly. It’s everything you want.
